PSYCH301: Social Psychology

Unit 8: Selected Applications of Social Psychology   This unit will examine some of the many different areas where the findings from laboratory research have been used to address real world social problems. Applications of social psychology have helped to promote and improve social welfare for people around the world. This unit will focus on applications to issues in the areas of health, law, and the environment.

Unit8 Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:
- identify how social psychology is used to promote health and well-being; - describe how social psychology has helped to researchers understand legal system processes; - distinguish among personnel, human factors, and organizational psychology and also explain how these sub-disciplines are interrelated; and - explain how principles of social psychology can be applied to issues related to the environment.
