PRDV001: Computer Skills And Literacy

Unit 2: The Internet and the World Wide Web   Now that we have an understanding of the basics of a computer, we focus on the Internet and the World Wide Web.  The following four subunits will introduce us to these important concepts used today in order to enhance your computer experience.  It is also important to be aware of securing your privacy while using the Internet and that will be covered in this unit as well.

Unit 2 Time Advisory
This unit should take you approximately 1.00 hour to complete.

Unit2 Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
- Identify what the Internet is and how it works. - Describe the various methods of communicating on the Internet. - Explain what the World Wide Web is. - Explain the importance of protecting privacy online.
