BIO302L: Human Anatomy Lab

Unit 2: Classification of Tissues   In this section, we will focus on histology and practice identifying different tissue types using microscopic images.  An understanding of the differences between various epithelial and connective tissues will be emphasized.  

Unit 2 Time Advisory
This unit will take approximately 4 hours to complete.

    Instructions: Review the microscopic images under “Epithelial Tissue” and “Connective Tissue.”  These images will assist you in identifying various microscopic images of epithelial and connective tissues.

    Instructions: After clicking the link, go to “Histology Links” as listed near the top of the page.  From there, click on “Histology Slides,” which in turn will allow to access the links “Epithelial Tissues,” “Proper Connective Tissues,” and Cartilage and Bone.”  To test your knowledge, please first review each image posted under each link and label the parts without reviewing the text.  Check your work with the correct answers, located in the text next to each image.
